Turning the FW-190 into a bush plane...

Landing the FW-190 had always been a little intimidating lol but after some practice my landings have gotten better in it. With it's light weight and big engine it can certianly get out of reasonably short runways. I got an idea for shortfield landings that seems to work. Not sure if it is a recommended proceedure or not but on final approach to a small airstrip, I turn off the propellor control and set the prop to max RPM and use those big paddle blades as drag. It really helps slow the airplane down especially on the transition from approach speed to flare to 3point attitude. It might not be quite the STOL bird as the Taifun but it can get in to more places than one would think. :)

LOL, good one!
Yeah, that works. Only concern for me would be that you don't get a second chance.
