Icing, shutting down the engine - engine loosing power
Icing, shutting down the engine - engine loosing power
Hi,
coming back to the problem that i mentioned earlyer here: http://www.classics-hangar.de/phpBB3/vi ... 4739#p4739
So i did an other flight today, but with same dep and arrival airport, from EDJA to EDFM. Weather was also pretty the same, like last week: Rain at EDJA and clouds at and above 6000ft (or lower....)
As im nearing Luburg VOR at FL080 the power goes down and down... i was thinking.. NOT AGAIN. And took a picture: ... ah no i didnt, just noticed they are all black -.-
Ok so ill just say that everything was right the throttel was at max and the RPM at 1800 with 0,7 atm (a bit more) and then it just dropes and dropes and... you know. I tried the same thing as before (GEN on/off) didnt changed anything.
Then i moved the throttle back and up, after i did that a couple of time the power came back. After a bit of time the power went down again and i moved the throttle again and the power came back...
So now i rembered this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9I40DQcK_6U , at 6min there is somehing that could explain this behaviour but i dont think FSX simulates that.
So what is the Problem?

Suppose it'll be gone if you uncheck "realistic icing effects" in the REX configuration manager.

Hm k, will check that.
