Crosswind landings are quite fun

Post by pilottj »

This plane really teaches you why it is good to land a little faster and use minimal flaps in a strong crosswind, make a one wheel 'wheelbarrel' style landing;) The patch made the controls perfect and very 'real' for me. Awesome job Mathias and crew! Try out Bill Womack's Bear Gulch scenery (cushman's meadows) with a stiff X wind and try to stay on the bridge

I totally agree. I was going to start the exact same thread. The patch has made an enormous difference and I don't think I could ever get sick of short field landings in a gusting crosswind. There is such a feeling of enormous satisfaction trying three pointers in a croddwind too - getting it to stall onto the runway from a few inches above the ground. Very few simulated aircraft deliver this sort of challenge and satisfaction.
