Cowl/Radiator Flaps

Post by Chunk »

Hi Mathias,

I'm going through the checklist and seeing mention of opening the cowl flaps while warming up. I can't find the switch or lever to take the flaps out of automatic mode. What am I missing?

Thanks,

Ron

Hey Ron,

in the Dora it looks like this:

Hard to reach like in the real plane.
Hit the A key to go to a proper camera view
Unfortunately it's broken in the Doras though.
In the Ta152 it looks similar and actually works (with left- and right-clicks)

It's broken, but will be fixed in the sim, or purposely modeled to be broken? I haven't flown the Ta much; I like the D-13 too much. Though I've been flying my absolute favorite (A-3) much more this weekend. ;)

It's broeken in the Sim, Chunk.
It's not a critical bug though as it doesn't really make a lot of a difference. Keeping the cooling flaps on automatic is fine and doesn't really harm.
Seems we have one more small item to fix so we'll issue a patch in the new year.
