Slowing down question.

This is for the Taifun history buffs. As slick as this plane is with the gear still up, was there ever consideration given to any kind of airflow spoiling device or speed brakes as they're called? Just curious.

I'm not aware of later attempts, but the A model had full span flaps with small spoiler-like devices at the wingtips in place of conventional ailerons and full span leading edge slats. They returned to a more conventional setup when the prototype crashed.
