Refueling the Taifun, where putting how much?

Post by kleineMax »

Hi, short question about refueling. Is there a order for putting gasolin in the tanks, like 'wings full first' or so?

The real plane has just a single filler pipe for all tanks, located at the upper fuselage aft of the cargo hatch.
Having said that, the fuel would run from aft to fore.
The original handbooks advice urgently to always fill all tanks entirely, that's also the best option for CoG considerations.
If you want to save on fuel load you should begin by cutting the content of the Aux tanks.
If you want to further reduce fuel do so by removing fuel volume from the 4 wingroot tanks equally, note: volume content, not percentage.
The both forward wingroot tanks should be the last to draw fuel.
