Did someone say 152? Got to see that one with some great skins by Alx!
You know Mat, watching your short video about the DX10 shadow feature you are working on, reminded me of when you were designing the 110's for CFS3 and getting the shadowing to look correct in the vc. That was a long time ago, around the time you were letting me see the Lanc beta! Man, we are getting old!!
I would just like to share a story I had with the FW190 from Classics Hangar.
I had bought the book by Eric Brown about German ww2 aircraft.
So I got it out I tried to fly (experience) the plane the way he wrote about it.
One thing which struck me was the landings and the bumpiness and length of them he described when not getting it just right and how amazingly short the landing would be with a perfect landing.
I went right out and tried it and experienced it (both ways) literally as he described it.
With the FW190 you are really "rewarded" for a perfect landing.
Also really looking forward to see how these beasts handle.
Cheers p38man!
Carefull with Wrinkle Brown though as far as his description of the stalling characteristics goes.
He fails to mention that the A-4/U8 he flew suffered from aileron repair, effectively causing the so described vicuous stall behavior with no warning and violent wing dropping.
A fairly well maintained Fw190A would give a short but clear stall warning and would be fairly easy to recover.
A snap roll can be forced but takes a little efford.
