Cockpit button question "Starter brushes"

Post by Dark_P »

Hi all and thanx for a great airplane :)

I just have a tiny question i cant find in the manual or in the forum?

In the cockpit to your lower left, you have this round button that says "disengage starter brushes" i just wonder what it is for?

Cheers!

Hi Dark_P,

first, it doesn't do anything in FSX.
In real life it disengages the contacts from the magnetoe coils while you run up the inertia starter, to avoid damage and wear (if that makes sense in my lousy English).
