Re: slow flight, rudder roll etc
Hey Mathias, Any idea what the max demonstrated crosswind component for the 108? If I recall in the 172 it was around 15-20kts...I'd have to look at the POH. I think most planes of this size had similar crosswind limitations. My flight instructor had told me to remember that these published limitati...

Crosswind landings are quite fun
This plane really teaches you why it is good to land a little faster and use minimal flaps in a strong crosswind, make a one wheel 'wheelbarrel' style landing;) The patch made the controls perfect and very 'real' for me. Awesome job Mathias and crew! Try out Bill Womack's Bear Gulch scenery (cushman...

Re: IFR Propellor backwards blade?
That makes sense since the elevator trim simply changes the pitch of the whole elevator instead of a small trim tab. The old Piper Comanche had a very strange trim location...it was a horizontal window roller style crank on the cabin ceiling. It has been so long now I can't remember which direction ...

Re: flight dynamics problems
Even with the twitchy rudder I was able to get it out of Lukla, Nepal, climb to 12500', mostly in the clouds, and was able to make it to Kathmandu fine. The senitivities can make overcontrolling in turbulence easy, good thing there are no passengers on board...they would need the airsick bag in a hu...

Re: IFR Propellor backwards blade?
Sounds good lol...I simply added a stripe to the back side of the prop. Personally I like being able to see the propellor arc is from cockpit...then I know not to raise the tail too much on takeoff

Re: IFR Propellor backwards blade?
just a very minor texture mapping note, I think the prop blur texture for the back of the propellor is mirrored to the front texture, not a seperate one. ie if you have a stripe on the front of the propellor and want it to show in the blur, it will appear on the back of the prop blur too.

Re: Orange and Black Taifun
Ok thanks Allesandro. There was a font I used when making a UK registration for the wings on Ant's Tiger Moth which was similar. I'll have to see if I can find it

Re: flight dynamics problems
That was going to be my only small quibble with the flight dynamics was with the Rudder. Looking at the rudder it does have quite a large surface area so I would imagine it would be fairly sensitive. It doen't take much rudder pressure to send you off of a runway side or groundloop. For me it might ...

Orange and Black Taifun
Here is a paint I am working on.
Mathais, do you happen to know what type of font you used for the German registration ID on the wings and fuselage? I might try using the European style registration font
