Re: Patch 1.0a

YES, superb harmonized controls now!!!
It's already my favourite GA plane, and once the toned down rudder roll has been implemented as well, it will be definitely one of the most enjoyable GA FSX planes ever!!!

Re: flight dynamics problems

1. I don't know what is yaw stability means. 2. I guess you are referring to directional(vertical) dynamic stability. 3. It could positive, negative, neutral. For example if after pressing and releasing the rudder after few oscillation an airplane returns to equilibrium (initial state) it means it ...

Re: flight dynamics problems

just to throw in to the discussion, Greg has identified an issue with the conversion of the Cm_de and Cn_dr Datcom/Roscam Data to the M$ airfile, or better, in the silly way M$ sets those values 10 times higher just to put a dumper at another place to make up for the crap. That's one of the main pr...

Re: flight dynamics problems

1. what is "yaw rate"? 2. My understanding that airplanes of this era inhibited less stability comparable with modern aircraft. 3. I would expect Me-108 be less statically stable that C-172 :) 4. Although I have to admit I have never flown Me108 in real life it's hard to tell what to expe...

Re: flight dynamics problems

Hi guys, I just heard back from Greg that we suffered a compiler error with the latest FM build what causes the rudder to be over-responsive. I just received a fix and will make shortly available along with fixes for the few other bugs that have been reported. So, thanks for the input and stay tune...

The logic is that when you trim the nose down, you actually trim the tail fin up
Ah ok, thanx a lot for confirming that :)

Re: IFR Propellor backwards blade?

talking about 'backwards'

Can someone confirm that the elevator trim and flap wheels are rotating in the correct direction?
With all planes I've flown so far 'forward' means nose down (and flaps up) but maybe the Germans had it backwards in WWII like the Italiens the trottles...

flight dynamics problems

As mentioned at SOH this is a really GREAT plane!! Despite the use of the ‘coupled MOI’ there are a few rather serious problems with the flight dynamics ;) Rudder Power on: E.g. if you try to do a ‘flat’ turn with the rudder only at around 120kts she yaws extremely fast (about 90deg/sec) and if not ...
